You Will Not Make Money on Paid Survey Sites as a living. You may make a small amount for extra spending money, usually what is offered are points that you accumulate for free items. Any company that wants YOU to pay is not legitimate. You will not make a living doing surveys, and no site can offer you surveys for XXX amount of hours. Legitimate surveys use certain criteria such as demographics for you to be eligible to take one, so you cannot take every survey that is offered. And survey sites do screen to exclude "professional survey takers" so they can get a true study from a random population of people. Real paid survey sites pay you, not the other way around. Will you make money? You will not earn a living from paid surveys and other marketing research. You might earn or win some extra spending money, or free or discounted goods or services.

What is Survey Research? Survey research is a legitimate and scientific process of acquiring data from the public, the information is used to develop new products, improve services and is used by health care providers, the government, businesses and others.

How can you tell the difference between a legitimate opinion poll or research survey, and a business that is trying to sell something?
If you are not careful you could end up providing information that will be sold to third parties, or used to generate contact lists for the sales of all types of products and services. Legitimate survey research companies should never divulge your identity, personal information or individual answers unless you specifically give them permission. Also, they should never sell or give your name or phone number to anyone else. No one should ever contact you as a result of your participation except perhaps to validate your participation

Before you sign up for a market survey or opinion poll, question the survey if they are selling something, or will your participation in this survey result in your name and personal information to be sold to a company who will try to sell you something? A legitimate research company does not try to sell you something. Legitimate researchers and professional marketing and opinion research firms do NOT ask for money or attempt to sell products or services.

Sometimes a survey research companies will offer a gift in appreciation of your cooperation. Such a gift could be a cash donation to a charity, a product sample or a nominal monetary award.

What do you do when a "research company" tries to sell you something?
Such companies are not survey research companies. While selling is not against the law, pretending to be "conducting" a survey, when it is not true, is certainly unethical. Survey research companies don't do this.

A legitimate survey site will ask for more that your name and email address. Read the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Read the "About" page for contact information such as company name, address and phone numbers, etc. Look for a privacy seal such at BBB, TrustE or Webtrust on the site. Avoid sites that have vague information about the business or the "about us" or contact page. Do not sign up if the terms of service say you need to complete "offers" in exchange for rewards.

Yes, there are certainly legitimate survey sites. Some of them pay in rewards and some pay in cash. The amounts paid for surveys are typically based on the amount of time and the complexity of each survey. The ones I know are on the up and up some offer sample products like pizza (shipped in a box with dry ice) crackers, cereal, etc., some offer points for surveys that can be redeemed for cash I have received over $100 in cash so far, some companies not mentioned are a waste of time. Surveyspot, NPDOR, Greenfieldonline, Opinion outpost are good ones. Don't expect to get rich but extra cash comes in handy as well as the free products. There are very few online paid surveys, and they are not going to pay money right away. Usually they offer points for merchandise. Any company that require you to pay in in exchange for paid survey opportunities are scams. Signing up for survey opportunities are just one way to capture your email address, and soon your email will be filled up with spam.

The best ones there are on the web that are free and are not scams are sites like American Consumer Opinion, and Global Test Market. They pay out in checks and will never ask for any type of card or social security number. What I mean by this... Those ad's that say "FREE TOM TOM GPS", or "FREE XBOX 360" and if you click you have to answer survey after survey and sign-up for some offers, and I have seen someone try to get through it and spent 2 hours, with nothing but a pile of Junk mail to show for the work. I am wondering if anyone has ever made it to the promised land.

The only website that I have found that actually pays is mysurvey.com. From experience I can tell you that I have received numerous full-size products for sampling and testing, actual cash and have generally found their staff to be quite pleasant. You are rewarded points based on the surveys you take, referrals, product sampling, etc... No, you will not be able to run out and purchase a new Bentley by doing on-line surveys. Typically, I save all of my points till the end of the year for a little extra holiday money which is usually between $100-$200.

I am a HUGE skeptic when it comes to paid surveys and "get paid to complete offer" sites, but honestly the following ones have enabled me to generate a great amount of extra money. The most important thing is to never get discouraged if you start out slow. Those surveys will add up over time, and doing them from more than one site at a time really increases your income. When you contact them to ask why they did this and if you're lucky you will get a reply. The reply usually states that you did not sign in as often as they required and the other main reason they use is that you were found to be a fraudulent account. There are other reasons such as you did not complete the surveys according to their "tricky terms" and this means that you did not use the proper descriptive words.

Do searches on Google and Yahoo using the Survey sites name. You will see both negative and positive feedback on the survey site. Also be very careful because owners of the survey site could be posting for "themselves" in forums to trick others.

What are good survey sites to earn quick money?

Your not going to earn quick money doing surveys. Survey's are not what you think. They require a lot of time, and you won't make what they claim you will. A couple of my friends did a six month test on several different survey sites like Survey Savvy, Harris Poll, Greenfield, Opinion Outpost, Survey Sport, Buzzback, NPD online, Lightspeed Panel, African American, Your2Cents, Project Payday, Inboxdollar, SnapDollars,Send Earnings, Creation, mycoke rewards, E-poll etc. Each did some the same sites and some different sites. Totaling at least 15 - 20 a piece. They're not what people say they are. Yes they are easy to do and you can receive money and prizes, compensating you for your time and effort. So they're not a scam. They're very time consuming though. When you add the time together, It's more time then you think! If you do decide to get into surveying, you better plan on spending 8 to 10 hours a day and make minimum wage. Sometimes you will hit good surveys that will pay you a lot, but what's required to get that is amount, the calculations of the time involved, and what you got paid in these "higher" paying surveys, still only averages out to minimum wage. It's a psychological thing because the time is spread out on these, so it doesn't seem to be as long as it really is. But we did the documentation's and figured the time vs money factor. We found that there was more time with little money to be made.
Here's how the survey's work. You spend approximately 10 to 15 minutes per each site to register and set up a profile to qualify for surveys. (this is non paid). To make anything really work, you need to register for at least 14 different ones, and make sure non are related to each other. Then you'll start receiving emails for surveys. Each survey you have to complete a 15 to 20 minute "pre-qualifying" survey, after you were already told you qualified based on your profile (you don't get paid for this) Then if you do qualify for a survey (which majority of the ones you don't qualify for. so you've wasted this 15 to 20 minutes and sometimes longer of non paid time.) Then if you don't qualify for one, they offer another and you have to do the same thing, and the same thing happens.) You waste approximately 45 minutes to an hour until you finally qualify for a survey. You take a 30 to 45 minute survey and make normally $1 to $3 a survey that they claim takes 15 minutes. Or instead of money, you earn "points" which later on can be exchanged for money or prizes. You have to earn enough points to make $10. That's not including the 15 minute pre qualifying survey, that you had to repeatedly do prior to land this survey. So you've now spent thirty minutes to an hour and made $3 or a few points. And the process between each of the survey sites is the same. So you can pretty much do the math. It averages out to be between $2 to $6 an hour. Sometimes you do come across a survey that will pay you $25 to $75 a survey, BUT there's A LOT more to it then what meets the eye on that as well.
Here's how the larger pay out survey's work. It could be a telephone survey or a Internet survey. You get the pre qualifying part of 10 to 20 minutes then if you qualify for it another 15 to 30 minute survey or a telephone survey about the product your about to try to see if you qualify to try it. Even though you took a 10 to 20 minute "pre qualifying survey" that said you qualify for. When you qualify for it, they send you a product out to try for 7 to 10 days and you do some daily documentation's on it. Depending on what the product is and the documentation's it's usually 5 - 15 minutes each daily documentation. (you got a free product to use around the house, this is a good part of it) after trying the product out you have to complete another survey that takes between 15 to 30 minutes to do. Now you do the calculations on that. You don't get as many of these types of survey's. They use the hype on getting paid $25 to $75 dollars for 15 minute surveys. NOTICE THE PLURAL IN "SURVEYS" What they don't tell you is that there is more then one survey involved in these. Now calculate from your pre-qualifying survey to the next pre-qualifying survey from the company carrying the product, to the trial and documentation's, to the last survey on these products. Then you receive a check four weeks to six weeks later. Do the math, that's less then minimum wage!
Another way to earn money on survey sites, is to refer people over to the sites. Some survey sites will give you a percentage on what the people do after they've reached a curtain amount of points or obtained their first check (refer back to the top of what's involved) You either get a lot of points for this, and only one time and when you reach a curtain amount of points you can exchange it for cash or prizes. (Cash amount is usually $30 before you can cash out- do the math on how many pre-qualifying surveys and the surveys you get, the time involved etc this is what it takes to earn the $30) Other survey sites you complete shorter surveys (5 to 15 minutes) and your entered into sweepstakes or lottery things for prizes or money. "Lottery"-one winner out of all the people doing survey's. If you don't win, you lose your points. I can go on about all the other types of survey's available and what was involved in that if you'd like me to elaborate on it.
I do survey's because it does help the marketing on different products and they do use the opinions of what things look like and what not. So I do it for the principle of the matter. Don't do it for money, because you won't make a sufficient amount of money with this or quick money either.
You really have to register for a lot of different sites. The paid survey sites offer the same survey's as the non paying ones. You get the same type of prizes and some pay a little more money. Again calculation time. Calculate how much you "paid" into these sites and the time you put into it, (refer back to how the survey's work) and it calculates back to minimum wage. If your doing this to make a living off of, you will be disappointed. But just for some extra cash, it's a good source and like I said, the companies do document the feedback and use it to better advertise their products and in some cases come out with new products based on the input of the surveyors.
If you want to work from home, (assuming this is why you want to do survey's) you have two options to go about. One is to apply for a home job. Understand, home jobs you will only make minimum wage. After taxes are taken out, your looking at your take home as being below minimum wage. Your wage can increase, but it will be a few years before you'd make anything decent. There are many different kinds of home based businesses to get involved in. Child Daycare Centers, Catering, Scrap Booking, Telecommunications, Candle Making, Travel agents, Tax Preparations, Health etc. Most home based business cost under $500 to start. Home based businesses have the same income opportunity as a tradition business without all the over head expenses. Just about everything in your home, becomes a tax write off.

I found a site that might be pretty useful to you. You can earn around $100 per week, just by signing up to free websites (no fees involved, at all), and can earn up to about $5 per sign up. Which ends up as a lot, considering there's 300+ free websites to sign up to. I earned around $15 withing 10 minutes of joining the site, and it's very reliable. Hope it helps you!

Hey there..great question! Personally, I have been making money from doing surveys and a few other things for over 2 years now! One tip that I can share with you, is to check to see how long the survey site been online! Some new sites promise you a lot but they are real hard to get paid from, or they close down before you get paid!

Whether you’re looking to make a couple of quick dollars for your next vacation, or in serious need of some diaper money, we give some pointers for finding the cream of the crop – and how to avoid those that aren’t even worth visiting.
Survey Sites that Pay Cash
Ideally, you will want to earn cold, hard cash for your opinions. Considering that focus groups and market surveys earn hundreds to thousands of dollars for the companies that put together, distribute, and compile them, don’t you think your input is worth something? While companies can change their terms at any time, leaving a previously “gold standard” company with lower payouts than before, the majority of sites that pay cash seem to stay around for a while.

These sites are often hard to get into, sometimes by invitation only, and pay as little as $2 per survey (which can take 15 minutes or more to complete.) Moreover, many of them force you to qualify for a survey by completing a screening survey, which offers no compensation and can take just as long as the “real” survey. Requiring your earnings to reach a certain threshold (i.e. $50) before you can cash out

Enforcing an expiration date on points accumulated
Sending out survey invitations as infrequently as once or twice a year

Is Survey a Scam or Not

I'd rather like to shed some light on the topic of making money through online surveys.

Yes you can make money taking online surveys. But be very careful. There are a lot of scams out there ready to steal your money.

Don't expect to get rich taking surveys. Instead consider it a supplement to your regular earnings. At best you can usually make a couple of dollars per survey.

How do you know if a site is a scam? Well, these are things to look for:

- Is the site offering huge pay for doing what is essentially next to nothing?

- Is the site asking you for an advance fee, i.e. asking you to pay them an upfront fee?

- Is the site asking you to sign up for some expensive services that you could get elsewhere for much less?

- Watch our for Multi-Level Marketing techniques that keeps everybody paying the company.

The above may be signs of a site trying to scam you.

How should you guard against being scammed?

- Visit the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website and see if the particular website has any complaints against it.

- Search online for the company, to see what people are saying.

What survey sites are known to be legitimate?

I don't know about http://cashcrate.com/ that lexdino is with. The BBB at least has nothing on them. Here are a few more that some have recommended...

A lot of people have been looking for cheap means to make money online and one of that means is through online surveys.i gues so many of you must have had about it and how people claim to be making cool cash by participating in such scheme and you may wonder whether people are really making money from taking online survey in nigeria.the answer is yes.people are cashing big checks from just sitting at home and answering questions from various survey panel.but have you ask your self if nigerian is allowed to participate in it.today i am going to share with you the truth about making money through online survey as a Nigerian.

the list of myth that is been told by those that claim they are guru who make money taking online survey in Nigeria.

1. those that claim to be guru will tell you that they are making $100-$500 per week by just sitting at home and answering questions for 10minute and they will tell you to pay #1000 to get the secret.i will tell you that its a big lie because if really they are making such bucks from it,i don't think they would want to leak it to the public.the newbies usually fall for this cheap scam since they don't want to learn.

2. they will tell you that they have list of top paying USA survey site that pays up to $10-$15 per question.this is another lie.if such site would pay you that amount,then how much will be their earnings.no panel site would pay such an amount.they are not father chrismax.

3. they will tell you that they have the best hide ip software to use for the ip address masking.but the best software they could think of is hotspot shield. this is another lie.it requires a unique ip address and hotspot shield does not give such.they will convince you to make use of it.the panel will detect that you are not genuine even without you noticing it.

4.they will tell you that the survey panel will send your cash payment straight to your bank account through graphcard.this would have been true if your dealings are genuine.but am afraid its a lie.although graphcard serve as a means to collect affiliate checks.i have not used it before,so do your research.back to the main topic.after wasting your time and hard earn money on this scheme,your cheque will be in voice mail.they are not fools because they do track your ip address and scrutinize it properly.so for those newbies who think online survey would make them rich overnight.my advice for you is to stay clear from it because it may lead to frustration and regret.the internet is vast and thus create rooms for legit online money making scheme.so be warned.ENJOY.
